I will look under F&Q for the answer to my question. Where did you get this information you posted about the Presentation of Mary at the Temple when she was 3? It is not in scripture. Are you adding to scripture or is this a tradition?

Hello again dear friend,

The Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos at the Temple comes to us from the Tradition. Virgin Mary was taken —presented—by her parents Joachim and Anna into the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem as a young girl, where she lived and served as a Temple virgin until her betrothal to St. Joseph. One of the earliest sources of this tradition is the non-canonical Protoevangelion of James, also called the Infancy Gospel of James.

Indications that this Feast was observed in the first centuries of Christianity are found in the traditions of Palestinian Christians, which say that the holy Empress Helen (May 21) built a Church in honor of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple.

I hope this helps a little,

God bless you!
