Reading the prophecies

Orthodox Christians! Hold fast to the grace which you have; never let it become a matter of habit; never measure it by merely human standards or expect it to be logical or comprehensible to those who understand nothing higher than what is human… Let all true Orthodox Christians strengthen themselves for the battle ahead, never forgetting that in Christ the victory is already ours.
(Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future, St Herman of Alaska Brotherhood, Platina, CA, 1979.)
Eternity is horrific without the Godman, because man is terrible without the Godman. Everything human has its final and logical interpretation in the Godman only. Without the marvelous Lord Jesus Christ, everything human is inevitably transformed into chaos, horror, death and hell; prudence is transformed into imprudence, sensing is transformed into desperation, desire is transformed into self-disintegration, from within self-deification or self-debilitation.
(Saint Justin (Popovitch))
