Our duty is to love others. We musn’t expect them to love us but we must do everything to love others.

Remember, God is love and He loves everything with an absolute love. He doesn’t try to please us by fullfiling our passions in order to be “popular”. Ηe doesn’t expect our love, while Ηe loves us unconditionally. However we must love Him in order to be like Him.

So the key is to love your neighbour. But for this we must sacrifice ourselves. It is not easy but the joy of resurection comes only through the cross. Patience… there is no other way…Think that at some point in our lives, we will carry a cross either fro illness or death of a loved one or false accusations or griaf or hardship. Then why not bear it and enjoy Ressurection?

A circle of love!

The Mystery of Baptism Photographed

A Serbian student by the name of Peter Restovic from Belgrade was an atheist and unbaptized until the age of 19. He found faith and was baptized in Hilandar Monastery on Mount Athos in 1980. A friend of his attended the baptism and took a photograph during the ceremony. They were later amazed and moved to find what looked like a white dove above the head of Peter.

Soviet workers in Bogorodsk removing religious icons from a local church which had been converted into a nightclub. In this town all the churches were closed by the authorities and 5,000 holy icons were publicly burned, while thousands of workers cheered.

I am so sad about those facts… People in Russia suffered so much, especially the believers. I have read a book about a martyr of the Russian Orthodox Church called Paul Ansimov. Very touching story…
