This video always makes me smile :)

It’s a 2011 video of Lebanese Orthodox Christians singing “Christ is Risen” at City Mall in Beirut, Lebanon.

This is something different from my daily posts, but I really wanted to share it with you: it’s a video about a traditional Greek dance from Creta that is called “Pentozali”. It’s really difficult but really amazing! All the traditional Greek dances are great, however the Cretan dances are my favourite :)

I dedicate this beautiful song to all of you that you follow my blog and support me. It is called “Aria” by Giovanni Allevi. Thank you for everything. May God bless you and keep you!

It’s all Greek to you? :)

I am curious, when you hear someone speaking the Greek language, does it sounds nice? And how it sounds like? Someone once told me that it sounds like Arabic. It is true?

I always wanted to know if it sounds nice, funny, weird or something else. Can you tell me?

For example, check this Greek song out:

Πάει ο παλιός ο χρόνος (The old year has gone)

A greek song for the New Year!

Orthodox children’s song about Saint Nicholas

“All who love Nicholas the holy,
All who serve Nicholas the holy,
They will Nicholas receive and give help in time of need,
Holy Father Nicholas!”

Caresse sur l’Ocean

Everytime I hear this song I want to thank God with all my heart…

An amazing video

I wish I had post this video after Easter..! Let’s sing all together: Jesus is risen! All the year, not only at after Easter! If you remember, Saint Seraphim of Sarov,
greeted all with the words: "My joy! Christ is risen".

If you notice, they say “Christos Anesti” in Greek too :)

Greek Orthodox Christian Byzantine Music

Simply beautiful…

What is your opinion?

This is a song of Jamster (Seraphim), a Christian Orthodox rapper. Do you think that Holy Hip-Hop is something that appropriate for Orthodox Christianity?

Personally, I believe that Orthodox Hymns are absolutely great and full of emotions. Songs like this one are nice because many young people listen this kind of music, so youth is possible to approach our religion because of this. I am not saying that we have to worship God with those songs, but if young people like them I don’t think it is a bad idea to listen to them.

What do you think?
