Please pray!

A good friend submitted this prayer request for her cousin Nichole. It is very important, so I post it in my blog. Please say a little prayer for her.

“My cousin Nicole is currently undergoing a tremendous battle with cancer. She was scheduled to have surgery on her lymphnodes, but it was decided by the doctors that she was too sick, and thus, they had to push back the surgery for a later date. As of today, she is in the hospital with what they think might be a blood infection, and is fighting daily to stay well. I am at a loss. I’ve been close to her all of my life. My family and I pray for her, but it would be wonderful if you could as well. Thank you, God Bless you for what you do to inspire us Orthodox Christians.

The Child Elias Healed By St. Luke of Simferopol

“Little Elias was a few months old and the doctors diagnosed him as having leukemia. I along with Father Gregory Maza did shifts in the hospital where he was sick. On the eve of the Dormition of St. Luke, i.e. June 10th, Father Gregory left the hospital late in the evening to rest and left me in his post. After a while he called me with a frightened and yet happy voice, saying: ‘Father Sosipatros, St. Luke did his miracle again!’ What was done? When he left the hospital he took a taxi to take him to the home where he lived. Just before they reached the house the unknown taxi driver asked Father Gregory: ‘Father, are you all right?’ Father Gregory replied awkwardly: ‘All is well.’ But insistent the taxi driver asked again: ‘Father, are you all right?’. Father Gregory not wanting to continue the conversation with the unknown taxi driver again replied curtly: ‘All is well’. And then the taxi driver said to him: ‘Father Gregory, the child you are caring for that is not yours will be fine!’. Father Gregory was in a daze for a moment, and in addressing the stranger asked how did he know about the child? About me? About all of this? And the taxi driver replied: ‘Do not ask a lot Father; the child you care for, but that is not yours, will be well!’ With these words the taxi stopped and the shocked Fr. Gregory gave the appropriate cash to the stranger who knew everything. The taxi driver took the money, gave the change, and disappeared. I do not know if the taxi driver was St. Luke or another Saint who spoke through this man, what I know is that little Elias became well!”

The reaction of the audience to this story of Fr. Sosipatros was moving. Little Elias was in church with his parents, still alive, by a miracle of St. Luke.

Today is commemorated Saint Parthenius the Wonderworker, the Patron Saint of cancer sufferers

Saint Parthenios was born in Melitopolis on the Hellespont, the son of a deacon named Christopher. Because of the miracles that he wrought even as a young man, he was ordained a priest and then Bishop of Lampsacus in the days of Saint Constantine the Great, from whom he received great gifts and authority both to overturn the altars of the idols and to raise up a church to the glory of Christ. Working many miracles throughout his life, he reposed in peace an old man and full of days.

A Miracle of Saint Irene Chrysovalantou

Saint Irene Chrysovalantou, I thank you for hearing my prayers and healing my daughter of fifteen years old who was admitted to a hospital in Vancouver because the doctors diagnosed her with leukemia.

We prayed to Saint Irene Chrysovalantou to cure our child and she worked her miracle. I went to the hospital and gave my daughter the icon of Saint Irene Chrysovalantou to have next to her and pray for her health. I also gave her a piece of holy apple to eat. As soon as she ate it she felt a weight lifting from her.

The same night she dreamt that she was thirsty and she asked for water. She saw Saint Irene holding an apple in her hand coming near to her to give her some apple. The next morning when she woke up she felt completely well and the doctors were amazed with the progress in her health.

May Saint Irene give to all health and peace and have us under her protection.
